Love, Love, Love, Love…Crazy Love

I went to an old girlfriend’s house last night, and heard a fantastic tale of her meeting someone and being instantly, deeply attracted and completely connected to him. They had a weekend–just two days–in which they met, danced, talked, ate and had mind-blowing sex. They felt fantastically comfortable with and appreciative of one another. So there! Fantasy weekends starting on NYE do exist! It could happen to you, don’t give up!

Of course he lives in another state and so it’s like one of those things. If it’s meant to be, it will be. So very much much like the characters in “Richland.” Luckily, my friend is older and wiser than silly Cherise Martinez, my maniac chic character. It’s the potential for true love: that’s what interested me when I began writing Cherise and Brody’s story. Our rational brains battle our pheromones, but the sweet spot’s when you’ve got both mental and physical connections. When people really dig one another as they are. It’s not too much to ask. Again, it could happen! Of course it could.

An update: 4.5 months later, true love has bloomed! The long distance thing is workin’ for them–they both get to concentrate on their personal lives during the week and then take cheap flights to see one another for loverly bliss on the weekends. It’s pretty awesome.

As another note related to my Power of a Vision post: this particular girlfriend had done some major work envisioning her future life partner. The night I heard about her first encounter with this guy, I noticed a book called “Calling in ‘the One’: 7 Weeks to Attract the Love of Your Life” on the floor of her apartment.

I’m just sayin’: any help helps. Don’t say no.
